12 families joined SLR for an intimate three-day family camping retreat at Camp Koinonia.

The smaller group setting gave families more opportunities to spend meaningful time together and form deeper connections with one another.
Children explored the surrounding nature, participated in outdoor activities, played with friends, and gained confidence through new camping experiences. Parents shared meals, conversations, and quiet moments while enjoying a slower pace away from everyday responsibilities.
Throughout the weekend, families supported one another and developed a strong sense of belonging. The retreat offered a thoughtful balance of outdoor adventure, family bonding, and community connection.
By creating a smaller and more relationship-focused experience, SLR provided a space where children could explore freely, parents could reconnect, and friendships could grow naturally. Many of these connections continued well beyond the weekend itself.
